Limestone Deposits are a potential new overworld biome in Minecraft containing only one new block and a few older blocks. They would generate practically anywhere beaches can generate, being roughly the same size, but would be skewed towards warm oceans. These biomes would contain limestone, a new type of aquatic-esque stone block with similar functions as granite, andesite, and diorite. It takes on a strong bluish-greenish hue, with streaks of gray throughout. With it's usage as a building block, it can also serve two other purposes: placing it under farmland increases the growth rate of plants above, like in real life, and two: placing it in a crafting table with nether quartz allows for the creation of calcite. The biome itself would be as small and as common as beaches, containing very tiny (sometimes up to 4-block high 1-block thick) spires that absolutely dominate the landscape. The biome would overall look very rugged and layered, with very few flat spaces, and would be composed of predominantly limestone with certain streaks of calcite. Not only would this add more immersion to the landscape, acting as the perfect bridge between mountains and oceans, it would also be a much-needed way to easier access calcite without having to search and search for one specific biome or dig out several different amethyst geodes. I can't imagine this being an overly difficult addition.
