Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Bookshelf and enchantment update

With the new chiseled bookshelf, the ability to use them with the enchantment table would allow for some.. interesting possibilities. The way this could work is by having the required chiseled bookshelves as much as normal ones do, except they can’t enchant anything because they are empty, however let’s say with any enchantment book you put, the enchantment table will read them and you’ll be able to enchant any item that enchantment belongs to. Sounds easy, the difference here is you’ll be able to pick the enchantment you want but depending on what books you have in there. Another feature could be where certain enchantments can go a level higher, so let’s say soul speed 3 can go to soul speed 4, but how do you obtain it? There would be certain requirements, so let’s say there’s a soul speed 3 book in a shelf near the enchantment table, the table would read it and say that in order to go a level higher you would need more max level enchantment books. You would need more in the bookshelves say 2 books that are of max level like fortune 3 and mending, then the enchantment table would allow for the enchantment to go a level higher. This would be a new way of enchanting that would allow for all loot and buyable enchantments to get upgrades, only for ones that make sense such as fortune, swift sneak, fire aspect and such. Others like mending and infinity would not be affected. And these new levels are unique and exclusive to the enchantment table, not by looting or purchasing.

    A level increase wouldn't be too bad of an upgrade, though another would be placing enchanted books on a Chiseled shelf near an enchanting table, which increases the odds of that enchantment enchanting. Ergo reduces the randomness of enchanting or at least increasing favorable outcomes. Either way I feel chiseled shelves should add to the enchanting process it feels natural and gives a small update on magic in Minecraft.
