Minecraft's sign blocks are great, however they have a weakness in that you need to be able to see the block clearly to read it. This can be difficult if you are for example wearing a pumpkin, in a dark environment (and don't have glow ink), or using a mod that simulates having impaired vision, or otherwise visually impaired.
Braille signs will not have this issue, as it could be implemented so that when the player is touching the block (e.g. by walking into it), the text that is encoded on it will appear as part of the GUI. (Because it appears on the GUI, the narrator can also read it out loud).
This block will render in the world similarly to a sign, except using a font that changes all of the letters to look like braille. I'm not sure what material they would be made out of: my first thought was stone, but then I remembered that braille is embossed; not engraved. Since paper would not hold up if it rains, maybe it could be molded out of clay, or iron?
This feature could add character to player's worlds, but it would of course be very niche and not particularly useful since the player is still reading text off a screen either way. Although, adding braille to Minecraft would of course also raise awareness for real-world accessibility.
