snowman

what if you could roll up snow to get correct sized snow blocks for a snowman? You could also find villager children in a snowy biome making snowmen. (Not a snow golem)

    You can shear a snow golem, so no this is not needed

    Unnecessary work with no purpose. Shearing the existing snow golem already essentially gives the same effect.
