Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Iron Rusts

Iron should rust like how copper oxidizes. Iron blocks could be prevented from rusting by applying beeswax and rusted iron blocks could be restored with lightning. Iron tools and armor should rust as they lose durability, providing a more obvious visual cue for the durability of tools and armor.

    I agree with the rust idea, but maybe not so much with lightning restoring the Iron. Perhaps Iron golems can rust too, like in my idea, but perhaps only in water and rain, and certainly over time. Items can rust too, which would apply negative effects the more rust it has, like -1 damage, or longer attack speed, or perhaps less protection. Maybe even a x2 durability penalty. You can apply honeycombs to Iron Items and other such things on crafting tables, but rust on items can only be removed on a grindstone or anvil.

    But rust should certainly be added to Minecraft either way. Makes things more realistic.

    For weapons and armor, why not, but the blocks, I don't think it is a great idea...

    Let's just assume that in the Minecraft world it is logical for copper to rust and for iron to not rust. I know it does not make sense, but it should not be changed because I use iron a lot!
