Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Echo shield

Echo shields will add the ability to parry to shields. When you put up your shield, there is a short period while you're putting up your shield where if a projectile hits, it will be reflected with more than the speed it hit with, and deal more damage. If a melee attack hits, it will deal more damage to the attacker than it would've done to the attacked. To balance this, the shield will go on cooldown after a melee attack.

To craft the echo shield, you would put a regular shield in a smithing table and upgrade it with an echo shard, along with a possible new smithing template for the echo shield.

An echo shield would not be able to recieve the mending enchantment.

    An enchantment could be Parrying, which would increase the amount that the shield knocks back the projectile and the amount of damage the projectile deals

    By not receiving the mending enchantment, the echo shield would nerf the mending enchantment, allowing players to avoid having to spend as long on getting mending in order to have end-game gear.
