Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Mob Detector

Allow users to create a mob detector using mob heads. If the mob matches, a redstone signal is created. If it is already powered by redstone, it turns off.

    I think it should be justified, for example by magic. It's possible that we could detect creatures using the sculk mechanic, maybe in combination with the eye of the ender...

    I think this is a neat idea! It would be helpful to know if mobs are nearby to set of my traps when I need to so I can get a good night sleep!

    I'm curious how other players might use something like this. I thought maybe a fortress that would automatically direct skeletons to the outside and zombies towards the center. Creepers could fall to a hidden lower maze level for anyone trying to dig underneath.
