I can't seem to post my own comment, so I'll just add my thoughts here. Honestly, I don't expect Mojang to implement all of these ideas in 1.20, but if just one or two of them get in, I'd be very happy!

    My main ideas are this:

Five new crops: Tomatoes, Cabbage, Rice, Corn, and Onions.

Five new types of tree fruits, which each fall a from a specific type of tree when cut down or grow as modules like to mangrove propagules: Bananas (Jungle trees), Oranges & Lemons (Oak trees), Figs (Savannah trees), Cherries (Cherry blossom trees).

One new type of fish: Calamari, which has a 60-70% chance of being dropped when killing a squid, and a 2% chance of being found when fishing.

The new types of food are as follows: Cheese, which is made either by putting a milk bucket in a crafting table or putting milk into a cauldron and letting it sit until it becomes a cheese block, which can then be crafted into 9 cheese.

Sushi (rice + any fish + dried kelp)

Sun dried tomatoes: Made by either putting tomatoes in a furnace or leaving them on a burning campfire.

I've only just scratched the surface with this post, but I hope Jeb, Lena and the team are intrigued enough to look into adding some of these ideas!

In my opinion, it would be a good idea to add new crops, as these are simple additions that would help increase the game's complexity in this regard—such as adding more fruits (or allowing existing ones, like apples, to be grown as crops) or introducing new crop-related mechanics.
