Good idea, but it sounds almost too simple. I think the number of fire charges should correspond to the maximum standard number of slime balls a slime drops, that is you need 2 charges for each bab...

I like this idea. Being entire metal probably would be unrealistic though, given how much metal you would have to use without implementing new measurements of it.

The reality is that all crystals are too brittle to work as armor. Diamond armor should technically be impossible, but it is too late to remove that.

The only problem is that you are seriously ripping of Terraria with this idea, so copyright issues likely would make this impossible.
