There's a status effect called Saturation that is currently only available through suspicious stew. It is basically Regeneration for hunger.

It's not on Java, either. You Bedrock players have it better off than we do, in Java Edition you can't even get a Dragon Egg from the Creative inventory.

Maybe gold should make it go the fastest since gold is such a fast-mining tool which would make lots of sense. Also, do these paddles ever break or do they last forever like horse armour?

I agree. If Mojang really wants to keep Netherite in the crafting recipe, perhaps it should only require a Netherite scrap.
