I like the idea of the new chiselled bookshelves but right now i think it graphicly doesn't make sense and is basicly useless in therm of storage here's why :
first it doesn't make any sense graphicly if we compare it to the normal bookshelf, the normal bookshelf book's size is 2 pixels with no gap but in the chiselled bookshelves it's 4 pixel large and have one pixel gap between wich does not look very good, especially between regular bookshelves, and doesn't make much sense cause why would the book be twice as large ? So i was wondering if instead there would be like the regular bookshelves 2 pixel with no gap but keep the special book texture for each type of book so that we can still differentiate them , this would mean that instead of 3 the chiselled bookshelves would have 7 items slot per raw , 14 for the two on one side and 28 if we consider the other side of the bookshelve, wich brings us to my segond point : in therm of storage the chiselled bookshelves in this current state is completly useless, it looks cool but if we consider that instead of the 27 items slot that have chest you only get 6 item slot for an unstackable item then everyone would prefer chest over bookshelves since you would need 5 bookshelves just to have reach the space of chest, so i think making it 28 would be more interresting ,that would mean an inventory hud would be needed but it could make the chiselled bookshelf more usefull, and same thing for the redstone as it would make it more precise
