Only talking about camels (Camelus genus), which has 3 species, not the Camelidae family that includes llamas and others.

I do support thou on that. Because the species that we see in the game, are only of the dromedary of the genus camel, where also the Bactrian camel is. It just happens to be that the Bactrian camel is so typical and prominenet that it has become the main species in the genus.

So it is true that this new animal is in the genus Camelus, but I really think that we should name it after what species it is, and not what genus it belongs to. Because i do not think that players are going to be conscious about that the name would be for the camelid genus, (wich is a part of the family Camelidae), when they see this bright long-legged ungulate with a singel hump. I would think that players would unconsciously expect to see the name of the species of the mobs they see.

There are already some confusion to what the difference between the species camel and the species dromadary is in some languages like English, so i do not think that it would be any good that players in all ages using the English language in game, to get the name of the genus, or a completely different species, constantly displayed as the name for this specific species. They are different enough and are evolved for different climates. But there are possible to breed two closely related species, like horses and donkies, or lions and tigers. But that does not make them the same species.
