(Minecraft 1.20) Separate hanging sign post (or horizontal fence)

We all can agree that hanging signs were something, that the community was waiting for *for years*.
However, I personally think, that signs would look much better if they could be attached to any type of wood, allowing for mixing wood types between the sign itself and the sign post.

For this reason, I would like to propose adding 2 crafting recipes: hanging sign itself and separately the hanging sign post. Alternatively (or best, both additions together), adding horizontal fences that could have hanging sign attached to itself, would be even better.

Pros of the idea I see:
1. Mixing colors would allow for more natural feeling of signs (and they would look much better too, along with much more personalisation!);
2. Hanging sign post looks like amazing block to build with and without a sign attached, would allow for great number of creative uses in buildings;
3. It could allow to hang lanterns from those posts as well, which would naturally fulfill another long-awaited request of the community. And the creativity it could unlock!
4. It's additional irregularly shaped block in Minecraft, and every irregular block is a blessing for both redstoners and builders alike.

Addition of horizontal fence would look even better in my opinion as hanging sign post, not even mentioning other amazing uses... but feel free to discuss about any of those options!
