When I play Minecraft, I am relaxed. But at the same time, there’s this eerie sense of emptiness. You see the same gee creature everywhere, and if not the exact same then just the same creature but it looks like another. Aside from the music and the occasional sound effects, Minecraft is a silent game. It does not feel alive, despite being a world meant to be explored and lived in. Minecraft needs an update that adds the life into the game, so I propose a life update. The life update would improve upon the ecosystem of Minecraft: Different areas of the world would have more unique mobs and threats, making every place feel invigorated. There would be specific ambience for areas of the world. For example, caves could have distant water or reverberating sounds playing softly at all times, oceans could have more wet and drowned sounding ambience, deserts could have wind rushing past you, and more. This is already a lot to ask, but I believe the monsters of the game also must be improved upon. As is, most monsters boil down to a blocky model that walks towards you and makes you take damage. We do have ranged monsters, and even unique monsters like the creeper, but for the most part monsters are more of an annoyance than an actual threat. Suppose different areas of the world-as well as having specific ambiance and wildlife-also have different monsters, who may behave different based on biomes to imply adaptation. There are so many ways to make this game more lively.
