As someone who’s been using subtitles while playing Minecraft, I can’t help but notice a few flaws in the subtitles that could leave hard hearing and deaf players with less knowledge than players who can hear well.
For example: When breaking a hard block like stone or terracotta, a player that can hear knows a hard block is being broken, compared to the gritty sounds of sand and dirt, or the muffled break of wool.
The subtitles for all these different sounds stay as “Block Breaking” “Block Broken” and “Block Placed” even though different blocks make distinct sounds. This also applies for player footstep upon different surfaces and when zombies walk, as they have a different sound that isn’t registered.
I think there should be different subtitles for these differences like “Hard Block Breaking,” “Footsteps on Grass” and “Zombie Walking” so all players have the same intel!
These could be in Accessibility as advanced/detailed subtitles
