Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

A new weapon made from amethyst that creates shockwaves

I have an idea for an amethyst weapon that would be crafted with two sticks and an amethyst shard on top.
Right clicking the weapon would create a circular purple shockwave around the player that deals damage and knocks back all mobs up to 4 blocks nearby. Now here's the cool part: if you jump then use the shockwave attack mid-air, the wave would push you upward, basically allowing you to do a double jump. If you run, jump, then use the shockwave attack, the wave would push you forward, allowing you to do a long jump.
Just as the bow uses arrows, this amethyst weapon would use up 1 amethyst dust (a shard can be crafted into 2 dust) every time you right-click to use its attack. It can be enchanted with knockback, power (increasing damage), and infinity (meaning you'd only need 1 dust in your inventory for it to work).
This would be a unique weapon great for pvp, parkour, traversal, and for making amethyst useful.
