Ever since 1.18, the Minecraft biomes have started to really come together. I think it’s great that you won’t find snow next to deserts and other unusual combinations of biomes. I still think they could use improvement.
Lush biomes like the jungle, mangrove swamp, lush cave and more should feel more overgrown and closed in. I suggest stones of andesite or something else with moss on them. I also think that we could use some sort of flowering bush for these biomes too.
Beaches, ponds, lakes and oceans should change a bit too. I notice that the beaches in the ocean start, but immediately drop many blocks. I think that it should also have a chance to slowly get deeper instead. I also think that beaches should take a little more space instead of being so small. Ponds, lakes and rivers should have a chance of frogs, since in real life you can find frogs around some areas like that. They could also have driftwood.
Hot biomes are good how they are, but I think that deserts could use some stones that are buried in the sand.
I think all biomes except for hot ones like the desert and mesa should have moss randomly scattered on the ground.
So to sum it up, add bushes, ambient mobs in more spots, rocky terrain and moss. The mangrove swamps gave that feeling of overgrowth and life when first added because they were so lush and tight. The others could have this too, but some would still be spacious.
