Honestly I prefer the Sniffer, but I think that the Rascal could use a lil more interesting features.
For its game of Hide n Seek, I think the best way for it to hide would be to drink an invisibility potion like the Wandering Trader. Mobs don’t attack it anyway so unlike the WT it wastes its potions on the new friends he finds (he doesn’t get much company) I think looking for the potion swirls would be the easiest way to find it (as long as your cave is well lit)
As far as loot goes, as much as an enchanted pick sounds cool, I think one might already have an iron pic prior to digging at y-0. Great for new worlds, but for those who’ve already got endgame items need a little incentive to play its game. I’d suggest practically any loot to be found in Dungeons, Strongholds, Mineshafts, and Woodland mansions. 3/4 of these places are underground so it makes sense why he’s already been to these joints.
Whata mischievous lil guy swiping loot right under the noses of the illagers! Think about it, a rare chance to get Notch Apples, Totems of Undying, Good enchanted books, Diamonds, Etc…! He should be a Rascal! Not a simple underground Wandering Trader 💎
