Design Carpets and Beds like Banners

One side of the Minecraft fanbase that goes largely ignored is banner designers. Banners have gotten a few quality of life changes since their introduction, but not much else has been added to the banner system other than a small handful of new banner patterns that we can add. Even with the limited selection of shapes and colors, however, banner designers make complex and beautiful patterns every day, sharing them on sites like planetminecraft. I believe if the design options banners have was expanded to beds and carpets as well, this part of the fanbase would greatly appreciate it. As a banner pattern designer myself, I feel limited by the fact that banners can only hang vertically. Even if the change was simply applying the design to beds or carpets like we currently can with shields, it would be a great change for banner designers and builders
