Would love to see Minecraft on Steam. It would be easier to do alot more stuff on Steam and could maybe give new players new experiences.
Reasons:
1: Mods - Players can make mods and add them to the Steam workshop. Then Minecraft players can subscribe to the mods on the steam workshop page or unsubscribe to delete the mod from their computer. Would be a lot easier to play mods this way.
2: Achievements - I feel like in Minecraft "advancements" isn't really used or played with a lot. you can add achievements to the steam edition and players could earn achievements for the game. Kinda like the Xbox editions and the bedrock editions.
3: Saving - Steam has this auto save thing and that would be great for Minecraft. in java and bedrock i believe there is no way to keep your saves or transfer if you get a new computer etc. i think saving this way would be great because steam will always keep your saves unless you delete them. Meaning you wouldn't have to keep saving and keeping your saves on a usb would just be alot easier.
Honestly these are just some of the things the steam edition can bring to us. Mojang and Microsoft could probably do alot more with it and maybe have better ideas than me. But personally i would love to see a Minecraft: Steam Edition as it would just be easier to play and could give new players a good experience.
