Vines should not block the growth of trees (Specifically 2x2 Jungle trees)

For every type and size (1x1 or 2x2) of tree, you can grow several right next to each other except for 2x2 Jungle trees. This is because they generate with vines which cannot be replaced by trees meaning that the next one will no longer have enough space to grow and forcing you to space them out. This is annoying since growing large amounts of trees right next to each other in a block via bonemeal makes it much easier to chop them down afterwards than if they are separate. It seems pretty inconsistent that what you can do with Dark Oak or Spruce 2x2 trees you would not be able to do with Jungle trees.
