Now, we’ve all built something repetitive thats taken the fun out of building it but what if there were another way?
We all know what structures blocks are. You save a structure then load it elsewhere, you can animate, clear out large areas, etc. Well what if we take the function of the block into survival?
Here’s what I propose:
Bringing back the illusioner mob n make it a boss, the illusioner would be summoned in a specific dark oak mansion room. The fight would be a difficult one, the illusioner using various tactics to defend and attack, cloning itself and bringing in illusions of mobs (which could shimmer in their texture) to distract you. Upon defeat it would drop a mirror shard and stone tablet, now the mirror shard would be crafted together with redstone and cobble to make an “illusion block” and has two slots and would look like a dispenser/dropper with a different face :[]. Here’s how both tablet and illusion block could work.
Take the tablet, mark all eight corners of the area around the build you want to copy, the tablet lets the block know what you’re copying.
Place the illusion block, it’s face toward the build area and place the tablet in its inventory (the block would place from the first corner selected in the tablet) get the correct materials and input via a hopper or it’s inventory, the block will place all of the stack in the correct places when given redstone signal, the tablet would be stuck in the block, a new block required for different builds.
