Splitting stacks of items is very difficult for me, a button that allows you to drop items one by one (on mobile obviously) would be a fantastic and exciting feature.

i love the concept of stack splitting, but it remove the thing where you can split the stack when draging it in the crafting grid

Please just add a swap jump and sneak. The middle of the direction pad should add like a jump so you don't have to tap another button to jump. Just like to old controls you can just slide the left thumb from walking forward to the jump button and you can sprint jump very easily.

There is a lot of difference between Android and Windows. Whatever you say, graphics, character movements are very different and there are many injustices in this PvP, if this is fixed, I and all android users would be very happy.

These are all nice improvements, but we really need to be able to move around and resize the buttons (and maybe the hotbar). Also, removing the delay between hitting the attack/right click button has on things like mining and eating in survival would be really nice as well.

It would be nice to have a button that would drop your selected item from your hotbar

    1. For the New Touch Controls I don't think I can fully utilize them since I have a small phone
    2. For breaking blocks who would feel much faster if I had a handle on the new touch controls overall I missed the buttons to place in brick blocks
    3. I also agree that there should be more buttons like for stack splitting
4.For the videos on each controls gives enough information
    5. The drag and drop system is okay for anything that's in your inventory but when it's in your hot bar there just should be a button
    6. Swimming feels much better now
    7. this last suggestions is based on the idea of a customizable hub:
New Button ideas: stack splitting, drop items(if you press it drops one item but if you hold it drops the stack), a "PICK BLOCK" button (this would be for people who like to build and have to use multiple of the same block)

We need a separate button for crouching cause when we are in scaffolding we are not able to crouch and that makes building hard by using scafolding plz do this

I think blocd breaking ( at the moment) so slow. I want new touch controls.

I think that when using the classical D-Pad in creative mode the slow down to 800ms to break blocks slows down the gameplay a lot, I would prefere to have it reverted to the way it used to be.

With all the touch control schemes I think it wouls be useful to be able to move them around the screen the way you want (this holds true for the D-Pad as well as the action buttons). Furthermore there should be an option to have the chat, emoticon and game pause icon disappear after a certain amount of seconds to clear up the UI a bit more.

Now breaking blocks in creative mode with the classic touch controls is very slow :(
They should add an option to disable the 800ms delay

Touch controls: Moving around with the joystick when building in creative is a bit difficult. The main problem is that when dragging the joystick (as opposed to the d-pad) it varies a lot in speed and direction, so the solution would be to add an option so that the joystick is 8-directional and instant on touch.

    Blockbreaking: (not tested yet)

    Stack splitting: Yes, it's perfect.

    MCOV: Yeah, it does.

    Drag and Drop:

    - I like the addition, but intuitive? Probably not, because selecting and dragging are different things but they are at the same time (which I like that way, but I don't think it's intuitive).

    - Needs polishing. Moving around in creative inventory is rougher as sometimes you pick up items while going down/up (and the item isn't even visible when you pick it up).

    Swimming: (not tested yet)

Swimming has been greatly improved and your character just swims instead of having do a bunch of weird things before it goes. Although what I don’t like is how when I'm trying to sprint on top of the water it keeps trying to make me swim so now I have to hold the up arrow but its overall really good.

Actually being able to choose the exact amount of an item is really useful instead of trying to guess 7 times. The drag and drop is a little laggy but it makes it feel way more intuitive since you can physically move your stuff into a chest.

Video was straight forward and easy to understand. One thing I don’t like is when trying to break blocks in creative using touch it takes so long. I do like how the first block takes a bit but the 5th block after it should be instamine. It feels really slow when im flying straight up from a cave or trying to destroy a lot of blocks. Customizable top and control buttons would also be very useful.

    • How do the touch controls feel overall, and do you see any critical issues with them?
    1. Still can't get used to the joystick,
    2. id like to be able to combine the classic plus shape movement with new controls
    3. Jump and sneak should be in the same spot they are when using classic controls in water in survival
    4. (I find both the toggle in the center of the plus, and in water, the sneak under the jump, intuitive when playing, but the lack of access to the other annoying eg. trying to spam shift at people with toggle is  1. slow 2. I don't notice that the last shift spam I did left me sneaking. and in water I can't toggle to shift bridge, not as big a problem but still. I don't think having two shift buttons be an option is as unintuitive as it sounds to explain
    5. Footnote for adding both shifts: in creative, toggle crouching not flying you down, and still having the other jump and sneak for flying would be super useful for building with interactive block
    • Do you feel like block-breaking controls slow you down in creative mode?
    1. Absolutely, in pretty much all aspects of mobile controls the biggest problem is these little delays eg. Shearing leaves till your holding on the air will reset another shorter delay, resulting frequent unnecessary delays in this and many other circumstances, definitely one of my most frequently encountered problems (also effects new controls eg. survival, you can brake grass by either taping the brake button or taping and holding which has an unnecessary delay)

should have how we customize, like moving the buttons For anywhere on the screen where it's easier for the player to play or for those who prefer the incredible customization of the controls hud

    Touch Controls;

I really like the new touch controls BUT I hate the fact that I can't customize them. Just like other mobile games, there should a option where we can change the opacity, position and the size of each button and HUD element. Example here: https://imgur.com/casHKVQ

    Block Breaking;

There should be an option in the accessibility settings where we can disable the 800ms delay

    Mobile Controls Onboarding Video

The videos look like they have been recorded in 144p ;/

There needs to be an option to change the layout and move the buttons, because for me the jump button is too high up on the screen

I prefer "joystick & tap to interact", but I ALSO want to use action buttons in this mode. Holding tap to fire crossbows is too slow. Can we please have a mode that allows this? I like to build/attack by tapping (aiming with crosshair is too slow), but I also want the action buttons as it makes specific actions faster.

Right now we still need full customization: changing the size/position/opacity of each button & HUD. I prefer the "console layout": joystick on the bottom left, ABXY buttons on the bottom right, and L/R buttons on top left/right. I want health/hunger on the EXP bar like PC, and I want a small joystick (but with large area to tap the joystick) for me to easily accelerate in all directions, because currently you'd have to slide your thumb very far to go to other direction and run, and it's tiring. We NEED customization, there's no one-size-fits-all.

The worst thing about mobile controls is the hotbar switching. Imagine exploring a cave. You'd have to constantly press the tiny hotbar to go from sword > torch > sword, and this is very slow on mobile. We need extra buttons to insta-use hotbar items. For example, a torch button lets me place torch and immediately go back to my equipped item, without the hassle of hotbar-switch. It doesn't have to be a torch: you can customize them to use pearls, food, potions, buckets, spyglass, blocks. Extra buttons are very important for intensive mobile FPS games. Simplicity is NOT always good.

When you choose the "D-Pad & tap to interact" control mode, you  still have "Split Controls" option to have the crosshair with the D-Pad
But with the new controls, it would make sense to replace it with a separate control mode "D-Pad & aim crosshair"

I hope the bugs with dpad/joystick have been fixed on tap mode: if you tap it with two fingers, you'll end up placing blocks or attack. Our thumbs tend to cause two touches, and dpad shouldn't be used to place blocks. If you slide your finger too far away from dpad arrows, you'll also stop moving, causing deaths.

I prefer a "safe-mode" button toggle to prevent accidents while I view my world, as it's just too easy to accidentally break blocks & instamine grass/redstone, hit mobs & levers by mistake, in both survival & creative.

Creative needs pick-block button. A button to quick-switch hotbar rows with inventory rows is also great for creative/survival, having to open inventory window is too slow. Inventory needs sort button, and remove the help (?) button as I keep pressing it while trying to close (X) window.

Optional autosprint is also important (when not crouching). Players will almost-always use sprint.

I like that the obscure green bar is replaced with something readable for stack-splitting.

I recommend adding Xisuma's "inventory update" video, simple idea #1 will make mobile gameplay much better. We really need optional extra buttons to quickly use items. I can't switch from sword > crossbow > fire crossbow > sword in mobile tap controls, it's excruciatingly slow. If I have 4 buttons to insta-use my pearls, bow, blocks, torches... without using clunky hotbar, that'd feel great. Minecraft needs to keep up with conpetitive first-person games on the mobile market!

Add a special button for opening the elytra and the fireworks in order to facilitate a flight operation In the classic and other new situations. It will be useful and fast without the need for a high place, and also in servers, in addition, if you fall in the middle of the ocean or lava and there is no land near you

It's great to see these changes and since you're working on new buttons and a user interface I suggest adding a button at the crafting table "craft all" that makes it easier for you to transfer the resources you have. For example, you have 64 oak log that you want to convert all to oak wood. Instead of continuous pressure, you press the "craft all" button and it will convert all of it to facilitate the process (With just one click)

Need "Fully Customisable Controls" so that we can change the "size", "opacity" and "position" of each button (including pause, emotes, chat, health-bar, food-bar, inventory, status effects, tool-tip of interactive things' buttons) individually.

Need shortcut buttons like "toggle perspective", "quick drop" (one-by-one/whole), "pick block", etc...

These features will help us in PVP, building, etc...

    Please add these...

Hope is everything. I love Minecraft !

The current solution for movement feels fine as it has been for a long time. I find the new touch control schemes difficult to use. I am fine with the speed blocks are broken in the full release, although in 1.19.40.20 is is way too slow. Stack splitting works super well, although I wish there was a way to only take one at a time or only leave one (easily).

-Joystick movement speed needs to max out immediately like d-pad, because it's too slow. It needs to be more transparent.

-The current layout is bizarre, every button should be customizable. Status effects and pause button is on a strange spot, and UI needs to be editable too.

-Sprint button needs to have toggle option, like crouch button. If I keep holding sprint, I cannot do other things like jumping, I can't press them both with this bizarre layout.

-You should also make players run forward immediately, if they press and hold sprint without joystick input. This is common for mobile games.

-800ms block breaking is too slow. It's already slow with the usual hold-tap to break. Tap mode needs action buttons too.

-Extra buttons is a great idea for PvP and PvE. We cannot switch hotbar quickly like PC players, and we need buttons to immediately use items.

Please make mobile controls better, we've been waiting for it. Playing minecraft on mobile is too difficult.

Players should be able to edit controls and there should be option to add every button that's available on computer (pick block, drop item,...). Someone who's not using some buttons should be able to remove the buttons.

With the release of version 1.19.40.20, I literally can not use the inventory interface and control selection. there is a huge drop in fps. Although in the game itself and other menus fps are stable as before.I used to have the same problem with the new world creation interface, but things have improved a bit recently. I also can't use my inventory due to the fact that when I try to scroll the tape down, a block is taken from me and I can't lower the inventory tape.I also do not like many of my other friends the new arrangement of the pause button and the buttons next to it. I really want dear developers to fix this. sorry for my bad English

    • Do you feel like block-breaking controls slow you down in creative mode?

Yeah, can't do the thing where you quickly brake a line of blocks and everything else is annoying

    • Compared to the prior Creative block-breaking mobile implementation currently in the retail version, are accidental block adds or breaks more or less common on the new touch controls?

Never had much of an issue accidentally braking blocks

    • Does stack splitting feel intuitive?

I think you guys nailed the idea, but I'd like to somehow see the number of items that I want to split and watch as I swipe closer and closer to that number, right now when I want a specific amount of items I have to swipe in the general direction, look at the number, think if I need it to be more or less than translate that into left and right movement, and it's always hard to tell if I'm swiping too slow or if I'm going to over shoot it

    • Does the video help you better understand the differences between the control schemes?

It's okay, best option I think is seeing something update in real time as you change the settings

another option is putting picture labels with the switches

    • Does the drag-and-drop feature feel intuitive?

If this doesn't offer any more ability's than tapping on an item than a slot, I don't think I'll be using it as it's slow and harder to be accurate

Add a button to change perspective I'm tired of hitting pause button then going to settings then going to video settings then choosing 3rd person or whatever, and then doing the whole process again to change back the perspective, I would love to see a separate button to change perspective in the hud
