Protection is a very popular enchantment, that increases the overall protection against every source of damage, escept the Void and Starvation
Each level gives +4% General Protection, so a full set with Protection 4 would give 64% against all damage, which for the majority of players is enough to never use any other Protection type
I would propose a rework, thath would change how Protection works:
Instead of adding 4% damage reduction, each level would add one additional armor point to the armor; since the amount of armor points is 20 at maximum, Protection becomes useless for Diamond and Netherite armors, since they already are at 20 armor points, making in the late-game the other types more useful
A rework like this, would nerf Protection, but still make it usefull for those who don't have Diamond or Netherite yet, and also making the other types more desiderable
