Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Making the Elytra Unenchantable

Players often seek out Mending and Unbreaking enchants to put on their Elytra to almost guarantee it will last forever.  However, this has shown to be too overpowered for a mode of transport that already outclasses other modes when in that area of the game.

Phantom Membranes

Without the Elytra having enchantments, the Elytra would go down much faster in durability and much harder to repair on the fly.  This gives Phantom Membranes, an item that can repair an Elytra have more of a use.  All you need to bring with you is a bunch of this item and an anvil to repair it anywhere.

The only other use for Phantom Membranes is the Potion of Slow Falling.  By the time you have the Elytra, however, this potion pretty much becomes obsolete.  With this having more reason to repair Elytras, it gives Phantom Membranes more of a use.

    The grind for them would be painful, but it is still a feature to the game.  Maybe grinding Phantoms are more precious with this feature?

    I think this is cool, and does make sense, but I recently learned that elytras are affected by the “too expensive” mechanic, so this means that you will have a much higher chance of losing that elytra forever. I could be wrong though. I do think this is a cool, good idea, and if they remove the too expensive thing, then this should be added.
