Make grinding fairer to the player the more they invest
Although grinding is part of the gameplay loop the level of grinding that someone has to do to get exactly what they want is torturous. I think making gilded items guaranteed unique would help reduce the grind and distaste people have for wild hunts. You sacrifice up to 4 items and 9 enchantment levels to have a very small chance of getting something that you would use over your current kit let alone something you actually wanted.
this problem is most apparent with wild hunts where you need to find the ancient. kill it. have the ancient drop the weapon of the type you want. have that weapon drop be unique. have said unique weapon drop with the rolls you wanted. then have the gilded trait be one that you wanted.
I think implementing a system that allows you to narrow what you get while you progress further into the endgame and endgame plus would be a great way to alleviate the problem.
on default difficulty you wouldn't have any control on what you get. it's completely random.
on adventure difficulty allow the player to narrow drops down to a type I.E range, melee, soul
on apocalypse you can select a single guaranteed enchantment.
and in apoc + you progressively get more specific parameters until you can guarantee an enchantment in all 3 slots and the specific armor/weapon that drops.
this way people who deeply invest their time into this game can get something out of reaching the total endgame instead of just bigger numbers.
