Totem suggestions

So, I’ve recently been into mine-craft and i saw that A curse of binding pumpkin in hardcore is well just messed up, So i think that if you have a totem and it is destroyed, I suggest your stuff (Some of it a random chance overtime) Will be thrown down as a price to having had survived, yes you can still pick it up and it wont de-spawn cause well you had a totem you aren't away from it but it’ll be a pain to pick back up what do you think?

    It doesn't make sense, if you can just pick it up immediately, why make the developers go through the process of implementing that?
