So far, the Warden has proven to be the most annoying mob so far. It brings an interesting aspect to caving, however, it's currently way too overpowered to be a net positive change. The biggest gripe I have with the Warden is its despawning mechanics; currently, it will only despawn after 60 seconds of being "calm", i.e. not detecting any vibrations or sniffing any mobs. However, this means that it A. Needs to be within render/simulation distance so that its logic can process, and B. Can linger for hours despite zero player interaction, thus tainting an entire region of the world (it can still be heard attacking other mobs while above-ground, 100 or so blocks below my house). These limitations are too strong, making the Warden's existence a nuisance that the player has no control over. I understand that the Warden shouldn't necessary despawn like other mobs due to distance, however, maybe it should have a better/guaranteed chance of despawning when none of its targets is a player for at least 60 seconds, i.e. after 60 seconds of not detecting player vibrations or sniffing the player.
For context, I'm playing on a server, so I don't have control/access to the doWardenSpawning game rule, and even when sitting in my house AFK I can still hear him tracking and attacking other mobs in the cave below (using the subtitles setting, I can confirm what the Warden's actions are).
