I wanted to suggest that water lily flowers should appear from lily pads in swamps to give more color to the water sources including rivers. The flowers could be white or pink, similar the water lilies from the genus Nymphaea that thrive in water ecosystems.
You could use bone meal on water lily pads to grow the flowers.
This isn't a new idea but I still think it would be a good addition to add some ambience to swamps.
