Make Dark Oak Leaves different from normal Oak Leaves

Dark Oak has its own wood type, biome, but not its own leaf type? There's a "Dark Oak Leaves" block, but all it does is drop dark oak saplings, you could at the very least make it darker. Why not make it darker and give its texture some variation from the other leaves in the game? Along with this small update, maybe make apples more common to drop from dark oak trees, as the biome is significantly rarer than regular forests.
