Something that keeps a game relevant for so long is its modding community. Minecraft has one of the best modding communities, but it lacks something: compatibility between versions.
To achieve this, Mojang should ask the fans which mods do they want to be added to Minecraft. The mods should be added to a catalog and the players could add them as they please for free (Like the mods tab on Skyrim). This would mean collaboration with the modders, but I think it could be mutually beneficial. In case a modder stops working on his project. Mojang should still be able to update it but they must still give credit to the original autor. This would mean that the popular modded series that streamers do would be easier to organize and prepare, leading into more series of this kind and increasing the popularity of the game.
