ARMOURED AND ARMED VILLAGERS

villagers will be able to wear armour and equip weapons dropped by players, so they can defend themselves against mobs and can be used as guards of their own castle or village!

    Villagers are pacifists. They have their iron golems for defense.

    Despite the many posts requesting guard/warrior type villagers, it's not going to happen. Villagers were intentionally designed to be pacifists, and the iron golems were added for this exact purpose -- someone to defend the village/villagers and fight hostile mobs. If there were villagers with weapons, iron golems would be removed.

    That will be good once players or mobs attack the villagers won't just rely on iron golem only but can also defend themselves
