Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Maple Sap and Maple Syrup

Maple trees produce Maple Sap if stripped with an axe and clicked on with an empty bottle, the bottle of Maple Sap can be drank to give 2 hunger points. The bottle of Maple Sap can be placed on the wood of a campfire to be turned into Maple Syrup, this can give 3 1/2 hunger points when drank. This can be part of the Wetlands Biome!

The maple tree seems like a great addition to an autumnal biome, with red-orange or red leaves. Idk how complex or simple they'd make the food processes, but I could see at the least using a bottle on the logs to obtain a bottle of sap, then cooking it in a furnace will yield a bottle of syrup.

Sap could be beneficial as a small healing substance. Perhaps using it would heal a small amount of hearts. Another interesting use could be an adhesive for accidental stripped logs, if tree bark was added (which bark also has various uses).
