We would like to encourage Microsoft/Mojang to take a step back and rethink their ruling on NFTs and Blockchain technologies being used in Minecraft.
We understand there are concerns and certain aspects that do not align with the overall goals for Minecraft. Those types of things should be limited or banned but this recent ruling is too harsh and completely disregards the value of what many projects and individuals are already building using this new technology.
There are many possibilities that do align with Minecraft's long-term goals using this technology. They have and will continue to help the growth and improvement of the game overall. This new ruling has completely shut all of that down.
So many opportunities for Microsoft, Mojang, private servers, and individual players can all benefit from that are currently being thrown away. We urge Microsoft/Mojang to try and find some common ground that works best for everyone.
