Hello there! I decided on one server with a friend to do a map-art And looking at the quality of the final art, and resources that need to pick up - it becomes a bit... Strange? 500 blocks of TNT for a red color?
My suggestion is to add a color system to Minecraft!
In many games when developers want to add a special item/obstacle/something else that should have the same texture in different colors and tones, they create a single texture for that item and change its color in-code
So what happens in our favorite game? A large number of different blocks having exactly the same properties, but different textures
It's worth stating that such a thing already exists in Minecraft, but only in relation to the leather armor. And this not right, instead of different types of wool can be added a single wool, which can be painted in all possible colors within the game!
This adds us unlimited ideas for map-art, and lots of new possibilities for builders! Isn't that the goal of sandboxes?
Ideas for this case:
1. Adding a new type of villager "The Painter". These merchants will sell dyes, and buy flowers for emeralds. To get such a inhabitant will be possible with a special block.
2. This special block is "Painter's Table". With this table it will be possible to paint blocks in other colors. For example wool, concrete, or planks. Requires such a table certain dyes, to create shades of these colors. It is desirable to add HEX-codes
You can make perfect version of the World of Colors Update!
