It would be very nice if the dispenser offered to toggle the "click" sound of the block, effectively muting the dispenser itself. It would still play the sound of whatever item was dispensed, such as water bucket emptied, but the "click" sound of the dispenser would be suppressed.
The click doesn't really fit the effect, and if it is used as an immersive mechanism that sound distracts from the purpose of the mechanism. For instance a toggleable fountain shouldn't be clicking.
It could be a button in its GUI or it could be crafted with wool along with a reverse recipe, for it to switch to muted state.
