Multitasking and settings memory

could you please restore the multitasking ability and settings memory for Minecraft Bedrock? It's very annoying that the slightest thing will kick us back to the main menu if we do not remain in the game screen. it's even worse on phone because just to change a setting for gaming or accept a phone call it has the same effect so please restore the multitasking ability.

Also very annoying is the need to continuously reset our settings. every time I want to play the game I have to reset my settings-- turn the resource packs I want to use back on because there's no memory. please fix this so I can just set it once and have it left like that until I wish to change it so I can just get right into the game.
