Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

More Stone Variety for Buttons and Pressure Plates

I would love to see pressure plates and buttons for the following stone types: granite, diorite, andesite (negotiable as it's similar appearance to stone), quartz (pressure plate made to look off-white to separate from heavy weighted pressure plate); and sandstone (both yellow and red). From a builder's standing, these items would offer more aesthetic options for builds. Why so much variety for the woods (even mangrove gets button and pressure plate)? Yet there's very limited options for stones. The stone buttons/pressure plates could all be crafted the same as the stone and polished black stone buttons/pressure plates. They would have same effects as in redstone uses. However, I'm speaking for my (strong) desire to see these options in vanilla, specifically for building with.
