Bedrock edition has a chat filter feature. While this can be a useful tool, especially considering the younger player base, many words with completely innocent meanings are censored due to how this system is set up. Any word containing a text string that is forbidden is banned. This is known as the Scunthorpe problem and it has been around for decades. The bedrock system is so bad that the names of four countries are banned from being typed. Many solutions to the Scunthorpe problem already exist, this wouldn’t be a difficult fix. It would constitute such a minor change yet improve the quality of chat so much.
