Rodents!

It would be great a small animal like a mouse of gerbil (preferably tameable). Before tamed could be pest and steal your crops. After tamed it would be able to bring you different seeds or increase your crop growth.

    I agree rodents are amazing and are so diverse. There are multiple other rodents that could be added to this but it would most likely just be mice or gerbils like you suggested.

    I love this idea in all honesty.

    Additionally, Cats, Ocelots, Spiders, Foxes, and other Mobs along those lines could naturally hunt these rodents since their real life counterparts do the same and they could be fast runners and even hide in smaller spaces other mobs can't get into. Still, it would be adorable to see them in.
