Use Dripstone to Make Mud

Are you tired of needing both a water bottle and a water source to make Mud blocks? Do you wish that you could automate the tedious task? I do because it's boring! 

Dripstone has been a part of the game for a long while now and its uses so far are to fill cauldrons with fluids and turn mud into clay. I was curious to see if I could use dripstone with a water source block above it to turn dirt blocks into mud, but it is not possible. This should be a feature so that players who need a lot of mud for a build are able to use observers, pistons and other redstone to automate this task for them and reduce the amount of time spent not building.

To summarize, players should be able to make mud using the same setup used to fill cauldrons with water.
