The worlds of Minecraft are gigantic! Due to this, players get lost easily in the open expanse of their world. Why not give them tools to help them along the way? Now I know what you're thinking, "We already have the F3 menu!" and you'd be correct, it's helped us navigate our worlds for years. But why not have more immersive in-game ways of telling where you are? Perhaps these mechanics could be held in craftable tools made of different materials (more amethyst/copper usages?) that could tell you where you are (coordinates) by the environment, such as stars, how deep into the world you are, etc. The tools could also be based on older, historic tools used by Sailors/explorers of the past. I believe that an in-world way of navigation would help players feel more immersed into their worlds and would have a greater sense of adventure.
