In the Deep Dark, a popular strategy of late has trivialized a key aspect of the Ancient Cities, the Warden.
Particularly, the fact that you can break Sculk Shriekers with little to no consequence can make the deep dark easily conquerable.
Currently, one can break a Shrieker, and nothing will happen (if a sensor isn't nearby to hear you break it). Since these are the only way to summon the Warden, and there are a limited number of them that can summon the warden, it is incredibly easy to just go around and break each Shrieker one by one, until the Warden cannot be summoned. This ruins a key aspect and the difficulty of the Ancient Cities in its entirety.
How can this be fixed? Simple, have it so that the player who breaks a Shrieker will instantly have their warning level set to 4, and summon the Warden. This makes it so that one way to 'cheese' the Ancient City is not completely removed, but makes it a much riskier method than just simply sneaking around everywhere. This will also encourage players to work around them instead of simply destroying them and using wool to block sound waves as was intended.
This also makes Shriekers a more valuable block and encourages players to experiment with sculk catalysts to make their own shriekers, instead of removing active ones from the Ancient Cities. Overall, this would be a massive improvement to make the Ancient City a much more dangerous location, while still allowing players to take out Shriekers if they wanted the added risk.
