Yes, I really hope this is already being worked on. Seems like it would be required for RTX on consoles. I have a 6900xt and i still see a hit on RTX 4k.

This would be fantastic! I would love this performance update, along with using 8 CPU cores instead of 1

It will so nice nice if we'll be able to use FSR 2.0 on minecraft as I have got a ryzen 5 5600g apu which actually supports FSR. And I'll be able to using it with shaders and improve the performance

I would love for this to be a thing, but sadly what people need to realize is that amd fsr 2.0 does not support openGL, making amd fsr 2.0 impossible to implement into Minecraft Java edition, it would however be possible for Bedrock edition as that does use directx

Java dosen't have DLSS or FSR, maybe it's because wouldn't be necessary or it's just mojang devs decision.

there's already a vulkan mod for java so fsr is doable. it also will help out players on igpus/ older gpus that cant get rsr. please implement this (and also now fsr 3.0 is a thing maybe that could be put in instead?

This seems like a important if not critical feature adding that would expand raytracing and modding to more devices like the steam deck or consoles, without being limited to Nvidia hardware, not only that, but minecraft should logically be the perfect graphics style candidate to implement upscaling and sharpening technology.

I sadly hold no candle given that the suggestion has likely been shelved by whoever team reads these, given the age of the post. But the benefits are major, and introducing it would actually yield bigger results for much less costly dev time on bedrock as a performant alternative, the upscaling being able to be introduced to all mobile and portable devices, I boldly state.

If the implementation of the technology has as many performance benefits as it seems, FSR 3.0 is also the perfect opportunity for Mojang to ditch bedrock and get out of the bedrock/java validation/re-coding misfortune, if that's a giant hurdle against developing and testing new game content and features.

Rather fsr 3.0 than 2.0 will be perfect and amd framegen will bring a massive player base
