Hello there! Many are probably going to read the title and immediately disagree, but to those here reading this, I congratulate your patience!
The 1.19 Update is a beautiful addition to the game, but I think that the only thing holding it down is the Warden. The Warden acts as a complete boss in the game, as it has a TON of health (and a lot of damage!)
However, with no boss bar, players assume that this "mini-boss" will at least drop something useful. Well, it doesn't...
The ancient cities were meant to be a place where a player can explore the vast lore and loots of the game. The absolute ginormous size of these cities is breathtaking, but, it gets limited to explore when there is a giant monster that can kill you in 2 hits flat. The players' main goal of exploration gets limited because the game forces them to give up an exploring ability.
The exploring ability lost? Walking and sprinting.
Unlike the Bastions from the nether update, although a challenge, the player could easily avoid most conflict with gold armor, even with a few Piglin Brutes. Here, MULTIPLE Wardens can spawn, and the player has to constantly worry about the Warden and the shriekers, instead of exploring and facing a challenge. What I am trying to say, is that the Warden pulls too much challenge from the exploration, and with no reward at all, needs to be nerfed in order to hold to Minecraft's purpose, of creativity and exploration. The Warden should be a temporary nightmare, not a constant huntdown.
Thanks!
