Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Amethyst as a Wandering Trader Currency

...The Amethyst Blocks could be crafted into Gems, which in turn could be offered to the Wandering Trader to acquire items unique to that currency.

...The catch is you couldn't trade for Amethyst gems. Only by crafting them from the blocks you find. So the amount of Amethyst currency would be finite and must be used wisely.
