Rooted caves would be a Biome of caves invested with roots. This would be a shallow cave biome, with roots only traveling a specified distance from the surface to the cave. Navigation may require an axe to clear the roots.
A deeper version of this cave could generate called the Mycelium caves. This would be a cave system for mushrooms. In real life, Mycelium burrows deeper than roots. These Mycelium growths mingle with the root systems of trees, trading deep seated phosphorus(or nitrogen its one of those two) for needed carbon. This forms a symbiotic relationship of sorts. Moving on, these Mycelium Biomes would generate under forests. These Mycelium growths could combine with stone to make a new Mycelium stone hybrid. Its the perfect excise for mushroom caves.
