Adding multilayered armor slots, and what to put in them (Sorry if spam)

I think there should be a way to put multiple items on at the same time. For example, you should be able to make dyed wool "Clothes" to wear under armor that might not give any armor points, but still shield you from frost damage. You might also be able to attach a banner to the front. They might also make you take extra fire damage. Also, maybe it would be possible if you could wear leather or chainmail armor under other armor. I understand that you might not want to do this to make it so that there is a penalty for being able to fly, but I think that many players would appreciate it. Some of these ideas would make it so there are more than 10 armor points, but still, Why are there only 10? Enchantments can only go so far, and there are lots of good suggestions for new armor. Armor with extra points could carry a speed penalty or something, and you could also add new armor in between the existing armor. Thank you for considering my idea.
