    Why? What purpose would they serve? Where would they spawn? What would they look like? How much health have they and how fast are they?

    As this is a mob included in many mods, it probably won't be added. Sorry.

    I think ducks would be a great idea because they are so cute and it would be a nice little extra thing to have.

    Ducks would be nice because they could have a function where they help you with fishing, or make it possible to have scrambled eggs or omelettes in the game.
