Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Wood shield

This would add a new variant of shield constructed from solely wood. The downside of this variant is that it would be weaker than a regular shield but would be able to be crafted in a greater abundance due to the amount of trees everywhere and could be used to counter skeletons

    Yes, you are right, a shield without an umbon and with wooden chopsticks instead of nails is possible.
    I would also like to be able to cover the shields with leather, cover with metal, add modules on the smithing table.

    I like this idea.

    Being entire metal probably would be unrealistic though, given how much metal you would have to use without implementing new measurements of it.
